End of Summer 2019

Tomorrow is the first day of Autumn, meteorologically speaking, and a whole fifteen months since I’ve posted any of my Nature pictures. It’s been a mixed kind of Summer, heatwaves and torrential rain, but we still managed to get out quite a lot. Here’s a small sample of the mini-beasties we saw.

From the top left: Gatekeeper butterfly, Purple Bar moth, Common Darter damselfly, Hoverfles, Magpie Moth laying eggs, Mating Burnet moths, Red Admiral butterfly, Brimstone butterfly, Comma butterfly, Small Copper butterfly, Peacock butterfly.
