Glapthorn Cow Pastures

A trip down to Glapthorn Cow Pastures in Cambridgeshire today in search of the elusive Black Hairstreak. We didn’t find him, but there were lots of great butterflies to compensate.   1. People think of New Zealand as a ‘sub-tropical Garden Of Eden’ but the truth is entirely different. As for the part I’m in, we get cabbage whites and just (very seldom) an occasional stray something else.
